ERIC ALAN and his wife, Rhonda Voo, had long wanted to enlarge the 1,100-square-foot bungalow that they shared with their three daughters in the Palms district on the west side of Los Angeles. But it wasn’t until they went shopping at the new L.A. Eyeworks store on Beverly Boulevard that they found the right person to do it.
